If I have to give up Jake Peralta, Sherlock Holmes, and Batman because they're "copaganda," you have to give up Anubis.
He might be cute and buff, but he's in charge of an entire metaphysical system meant to reinforce the superiority of a dictatorial, slave-owning aristocratic class, even beyond the grave.
He's Pharaohganda. He's gotta go.

@zebratron2084 I mean, I'm willing to give up all Batmens except maybe Adam West.
re: furry, uspol, discourse, hot take (not 100% serious)
@Soreth Heh. Adam West's Batman is a cop the same way that Captain Crunch is a member of the military industrial complex. It's just pantomime.
re: furry, uspol, discourse, hot take (not 100% serious)
@zebratron2084 Oh totally. My take was more just that I haven't considered Batman to be an actual interesting or compelling character for quite a few years now. Somewhere around there I just stopped caring. Maybe he'd be interesting again if there were more crimes involving giant umbrellas, or weather control rays.

Yes! I am so tired of comic book superhero movies being afraid to be associated with comic books.
re: furry, uspol, discourse, hot take (not 100% serious)
@Soreth I mean, you're absolutely right, and it's practically iconic anyhow that Batman is the LEAST interesting person in Gotham. Especially in the Adam West days, the villains were where all the charm went...

@zebratron2084 @zx3 @Soreth ... Baptistman?
