Childhood left a big red button in my psyche about “adults are always around to assign work and go off on you for getting it wrong, but if you need assistance they’re nowhere to be found,” this job is great at pushing it. Consciousness of that brings some but not complete relief.

@zebratron2084 okay so back in December my boss started WFH on the other side of the state literally 2 weeks after he announced it. Yesterday he took the day off and Portland doesn’t really get back to me in a timely fashion, so when it was 1745 I canceled some material so I could run paperwork for an 0800 shipment today. What I should have done instead is generate proforma delivery notes and invoices for this material I didn’t think was available but that was part of today’s phone conversation.
