Today I learned Trader Joe's "Crunchy Curls" are so named because they have absolutely no other aesthetic attributes after which they could have been named.

(It still took a surprisingly heroic force of will to stop eating them. Which makes me suspect I should be kept away from styrofoam packing peanuts, too.)

Don't get me wrong, I'd probably still give these 3.0-3.5 stars out of 5. They're indisputably moreish. I think I'm going to try tossing them with some exorbitant spice blend and see if they taste like food. Maybe just a whirl around in the bag with some malt vinegar, fish sauce, and garlic powder.

@zebratron2084 ooh, how about those packing peanuts that are edible, made with... I don't remember, corn starch or something? I've eaten those before... they're, uh... edible. XD

@green At this point I'm willing to suspect they're just made of Trader Joe's Crunchy Curls. :p

@zebratron2084 that is Entirely Possible. I'd recommend a blindfolded taste test to compare but I doubt anybody cares that much.

Pirate Booty is still very tasty, though! ANNOYINGLY TASTY. /dangerously tasty/. great, now I've given myself a craving. >____<

@LexYeen I've SURELY already done worse. I've eaten a half-boiled packet of ramen sprinkled with garlic-shrimp powder, soy sauce, and ghost pepper, like, within the last 72 hours...

I mean, fuck, I'll bet with a little of my homebrew mie goreng sauce over 'em they'd probably be pretty good...
