@JulieSqveakaroo Psst. Don't worry, hun. My kids have had Plush Rot before. There are things that can be done. I mean, you've got the entire fandom's experience—a little mold, even the really nasty kind, HAS to be a solved problem. You just need to find the right kind of plush rehab expert. If it does come to that, let me know and I'm happy to help you ask around! But I know what an upset that can be—I couldn't take my menagerie with me during Barry, and honestly... that was TOUGH. *HUG*
re: media comma bad, mood comma meh
@zx3 Hmm. I think I'll have one Hard Ticket to Hawaii, served neat in a chilled plutonium canister, no chaser. Martians like it rough.
And The Apple for dessert.
re: media comma bad, mood comma meh
@zx3 I say, Sommerlier! I think I need something a bit harder. Would you recommend the Neil Breen? Perhaps something light and fruity, with a hint of messianic narcissism?
@Austin_Dern Gosh, that's cute!
@JulieSqveakaroo @anthracite He is, I'm just thinking they need a third...
re: media comma bad, mood comma meh
@zx3 THERE'S NAUGHT WRONG WITH LIQUID SKY, YOU VARLET!
(*cough* Sorry. I don't know where that came from. There's PLENTY wrong with Liquid Sky. And yet, it's such a perfect and pure specimen of whatever it is...)
re: media comma bad, mood comma meh
@Aradia Hmm, apparently there are multiples. The live one, or the one with Disembodio?
ngl, "shiny plastic unicorn boot repurposed to show nothing but recalled product notices for eternity" is pretty much Big Mood for me right now
@anthracite Anything that keeps him further away from human contact is probably good.
re: Dream, a boring dystopia, someone else's woo? (~)
@Phorm @anthracite This would all make an absolutely cracking short story...
@anthracite What's Aardvark Guy up to these days? >__<
@joshua On a related note, have you ever seen the British TV series Look Around You?
Come to think of it... yeah, what they're doing is arguably pure pataphysics comedy. There's nothing else on TV like it.
re: family, death
@Balina I wouldn't say gentle so much as quick, but yeah. There's another universe where we had to watch Matt go through a protracted year-long battle and suffer far more than he did, and... I honestly don't see what good that universe would have brought. He'd already been deprived of most of his joys in life except for TV, and was pretty much chairbound after being a pretty active guy, and that's just not living. *sighs and hugs*
@joshua Basically, it was a movement started by the French surrealist Alfred Jarry, which would supposedly be to metaphysics what metaphysics was to physics. The same way surrealist art uses dream imagery to portray profound truths about human irrationality, pataphysics imitates the form of science but deliberately deals only with crazy, ironic, illogical things. For example, Jarry tried to claim, tongue-in-cheek, that gravity was just a remarkable series of coincidences. :)
@joshua Do you want a straight answer for that? 'Cause I can give you one! =^_^=

Ever just hit the point where nothing at all interests you, and all you want to do is kinda wait out the clock for another 30 years?
I want some magic back. I worry that part of my brain's just rotted out.
Maybe I should try drinking. It's the only drug the conservative sons-of-bitches in this goddamn swamp seem to approve of.
