Also, huh, John Mulaney's Sack Lunch Bunch was more poignant than I expected. Wow. Nice David Byrne cameo, too.

@xinjinmeng @anthracite Oh! That's a common question. You need to itemize them on Schedule F-2 and staple that to the main form.

mood/health/money (+ish)

Current mood: sick but happy.

I've been sneezy and runny all day, so my sinus cavity is either >50% microbes or >50% cat dander.

On the other hand, my first preliminary round of tax calculations are showing that I am much less screwed on taxes than I expected. I may even be a thousandaire in the near future!

(And that doesn't even include my extensive investments in bottlecaps, silverware, and tinfoil scraps! :ms_raccoon:)

It's not *quite* "Seattle Ho!" yet, but this and a couple of other recent windfalls have put a visit back in the realm of possibility...

PROTIP: If you binge the new She-Ra—and you really should—try watching just one episode of the old She-Ra at the beginning of each season. It works kinda like miracle fruit. Episodes that are merely good seem excellent by comparison, and episodes that were already excellent seem miraculous.

Say what you will about 2020. We—especially queer people—have some really nice things these days, culturally speaking. The kids' TV of my youth was Just Not Good.

puzzle spoiler

@JulieSqveakaroo @dodec Yeah, I was deliberately being coy b/c I was on mobile and was too lazy to key in a cw. :)

Basically, I can see that most of these indicate words of the listed length, with two I's in them. But I can't figure out the other three words, nor whether the deal is that they're supposed to have too few, too many, or zero I's in them to indicate a "nay" vote.

Also, I'm a tad worried about the fact that some of these may have multiple potentially valid answers? This kind of word puzzles can be tricky because there's always the possibility some smartass with a REALLY good thesaurus will come up with a right wrong answer. :)

weather gloating

It's "wintry" today in NOLA (55° and sunny). These have been my favorite days of my first winter down here, because I get to laugh at BOTH you poor folks freezin up north AND the locals who don't share my cold tolerance (like say Ms. Tropical Dragonflower). 😽

@JulieSqveakaroo @dodec Yeah, I got the basic schtick and 5/8 words but am still not sure about how to get a final count out of them, or whether the remaining three should have any constraints on them.

music, pfaf, kink

"Atom Bomb" by Fluke came up on my playlist at random, and while I know the lyrics by heart, for a moment I misheard "baby's got purple hair" as "baby's got bubble hair."

And while I have left the whole postfurry kink thing (and according to my body, my libido) rather far behind me... I've still got a lot of thinking to do. OOOO:)

Don't get your hopes up that this means I'll finally have an otter incarnation. I will not ott. I will never ott... (I don't even know how to ott!)</sir_nose_d'voidoffunk>

re: religion, food, wikipedia

@mmsword I'm sure you've probably seen the blog whose author was trying to determine the kosher status of every single Pokemon, in fact I'd give even odds you were my original source for it...

re: futuristic unisex sci-fi name generator (cw: rude words)

@frameacloud I got Dax Rae, which is already uncomfortably close to the names of like THREE genderqueer folks I'm happily estranged from. Still, a positive experience and it's obviously spot-on. :)

futuristic unisex sci-fi name generator (cw: rude words)

glumshoe made a generator so you too can find your futuristic unisex sci-fi name. My favorites include: Gene Splicer, Tex Lovelace, Radio Nebuchadnezzar, Sine Collision, Omen Allotrope, Trig Stardust, Dys, Rat Venture, and Cat Andromeda. I can't change my name to any of these, because mine is already cool and futuristic like this, because I'm a genderqueer space dragon.

CW: some of the names have rude words in them, resulting in cyberpunks and troublemakers like Piss Proxima and Nova Posterior. Inspiring.

nobody: ...

me: I want a T-shirt with Peridot in the Grandpa Simpson newspaper pose with the headline "OLD GEM YELLS AT CLOD"

she-ra (spoiler-adjacent)

I... I have this sinking feeling that Catra isn't to be getting that redemption arc.

health (++)

It's good knowing that my eyes aren't rotting any further than they already are. ^___^ Clean bill of retinal health, huge relief.
