lyrics
If the sun refused to shine
I don't mind, I don't mind
If the mountains fell in the sea
Let it be, it ain't me.
Got my own world to live through
And I ain't gonna copy you.
Now, if 6 turned up to be 9,
I don't mind, I don't mind
If all the hippies cut off all their hair
I don't care, I don't care.
Dig, cause I got my own world to live through
And I ain't gonna copy you.

Crisitunity.
A-*hem*. My cousins make a beautiful, subtle calling song to the Moon. *Thank* you.
absolutely pure animal video

(Once again, the management would like to provide Ms. @LeDiva with this alternate menu selection for the canine-averse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WE_GfJJYfyg <3 )
blatant corporate shilling; booze; comedy
Okay, this is possibly the most successful commercial I've ever seen, though at 3.5 hours, it fails the "efficacy:time" ratio pretty horribly.
Granted, I'm an easy sell, since I'm a huge Andy Daly fan and actually think Malört, Vegemite, and by extension, old Band-Aids are pretty tasty. But I actually kinda want to try Laphroaig now.
re: neurodiversity; tourette's; patton oswalt
Of course, we've all got a *little* of that going on in our heads... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPIuDOihRlQ (cw: extremely mild self-satirical racism in video)
I'm strongly of the opinion that most neurological "disorders" are things that happen in the brains of most "normal" humans, just turned up to 11. Nobody, *nobody* with a forebrain is wholly sane and rational.
re: neurodiversity; tourette's; #%!$!# eggs
(And as someone with recurring OCD issues, it's all... weirdly familiar. Basically, this is what you'd be seeing if you saw the inside of my brain-- I just am lucky enough to have the standard neural stuffing needed to suppress it. It's a constant stream of weird, weird repetitive babble in here-- colorful obscenities, fears about loved ones, rituals, 20-year-old media references, and REALLY bad hindbrained lyric filks you're so glad I don't share. 😳)
neurodiversity; tourette's; #%!$!# eggs
(I hate eggs. :p )
Video by a charming, funny teen with Tourette's, showing us what dealing with the condition is actually like. Spoiler: it involves a lot more muscle spasms (and collateral ovoid damage) and a *bit* less cussing, than you usually hear about.

An elegy for the old American Left, for better or worse, whatever happens tonight:

Hope you had a productive experience in the voting booth!
Here's that promised update on my Head Council rearrangements, BTW. (cw: weird weird kinstuff)
Daoist Farmer Parable
It's this one, ya lovable goobers. <3

(At least, this is the best rendition I could find on currently available energy levels. The last paragraph, about consoling the *other* parents, is highly emotionally problematic for me and does not appear in any version I've liked, nor any I've seen before.)
one parting thought
Be fierce. <3
re: uspol; schadenfreude (+)
They're desperate. You can tell they're desperate when they quote people whose actual research, in its full context, doesn't support them in the least. They're hoping nobody will notice, and in the case of Trump supporters, they're absolutely right. But I see what they're doing. *They* don't think the facts support a GOP win, either. They just know they can't afford to admit it.

Haha, I just caught the Political Insider, one of the pro-Trump sites I hateread, blatantly snowjobbing its readers. They were crowing about how *one* poll shows the general election margin is something tiny like three percent... when they just got done the other day lecturing readers about how nothing matters but *individual* races... which are still going great for us, per Nate Silver's models. But their source for the OTHER assertion in their article? Nate Silver. :D
