I could kind of use a hug this morning.

I'm probably real low on the list of people in line for emergency hugs, since the basics of my life are actually pretty good at the moment.

The usual things are just wearing on me this morning, you know? What I could *really* use isn't even a hug, it's a reminder of what we're fighting for. One of those "why you should bother getting up in the morning" moments, if you have one to offer.

When my own "friends" are giving me shit for expressing qualms about *physically assaulting* people... ordinary fucking kids who may be just about to LEAVE the abusive community they've been seduced into... that's toxicity, in my book. That's not "woke," that's "gone psychotic from sleep deprivation."

And that attitude is here, too, but at least I have better tools for keeping it at bay.

I suspect I am about to spend my evening doing some Judge Dredd-grade tone policing.

Interestingly, working on evaluations has almost entirely cured my tendency to get mad at my coworkers for screwing up.

Before we started doing these, it felt like no amount of effort was ever going to change these people's habits. Now I know that justice will be served someday, and it will include methods besides the chopping of heads.

(The fact that I'm the one ultimately serving justice here, admittedly, doesn't hurt. It's good to be sheriff. XD )

I'm noticing this new trend in comedy: furries who I PERSONALLY WITNESSED coming down on other people for their kinks suddenly getting really, really sanctimonious about trolling without bothering to mention their own shady pasts.

I keep reflexively trying to do the much more difficult job I've been doing for the last two months instead of the easy one I'm actually doing. Easy mode is harder than I thought. -_-

I am once again frightened by how much more I'm enjoying my day job than my social media networks. (No offense, Masto critters. You're by far the best of a problematic lot and this is the only place I'm still regularly enjoying. <3 )

After two months of employee evaluations, my regular rating and annotation work feels like... you know that point in old CRPGs where you're headed home and all the enemies that were deadly on the way out are pitiful on the way back, because you're leveled?
