This is one of those days I really wish we were about 50-100 years further ahead in our understanding of identity. I am absolutely longing for Applied Multiplicity technology.

Specifically, I wish I could assign one of my cold, practical subpersonalities to power through work, while I have a nice long nap in my Memory Palace, curl up with my vague recollection of lost stuffed animals, and cry a whole lot.

Or just lock up a whole section of the Palace for good.

Answer: not on a daily basis, but it's fascinating just once. It's a Chemex cup of something Guatemalan, and it tastes kind of... hollow but in a good way? Like the difference between Hershey's syrup and a light creme de cacao. Definitely less sharp and bitter.

I was mostly curious if it could make a good natural focus drug for @anthracite, who needs some Go Juice but hates drip coffee. Sadly, I think you still wouldn't go for it. I think it's more bitter than you'd like it...

Am at Seattle Meowtropolitan for the first time. For the first fifteen minutes, the cats did absolutely nothing of interest at all. It was perfect in every way, and I was already happy I came.

Then the monitor handed out treats--suddenly the room was bustling with activity and the cats were everybody's friend. I just nodded & grinned, then knowingly whispered "yup" to one of them. I haven't sought to pet or attract a single cat. It's perfect. They're perfect.

They're really my people.

Dammit, now I'm pondering what a great, balanced adventuring squad that German-compound-word family of changelings would be. I wish I either had the focus and experience to be a good GM, or a really quite incredibly customizable party-based CRPG...

(fuuuuuck i wish i had time, skill, and mental energy to turn this into a collectible card game somehow, but...)

I'm pretty sure I've linked to this encyclopedia of organ stops before, but I still think it would make a fantastic naming scheme for a CRPG, for spells or a hierarchy of summonable angels or a corps of Renaissance bardic mahō shōjo or something...
