Real talk (MH - and +, work, stress)
Know a lot of folks haven't been in the loop on this, but I'm basically taking this weekend to recover from a fairly serious breakdown where work stress finally got too much. *Thankfully*, I have a boss who cares about me as a person, and he basically told me "go rest, we'll hold the fort while you recover" plus a fair bit of "yeah, I don't know how you guys have done this this long /anyways/.
Real talk (MH - and +, work, stress)
I guess what I'm saying is
a) I could really use some hugs.
b) I'm doing better than I was on Friday, but am still super pins-and-needles mental-health-wise.
c) If you've ever been a manager, or ever want to be, and you've done / will do the same for an employee in need who's done the best she can? /Thank you./

@zetasyanthis Emergency hugs deployed. *Offers as many as you need, including nuzzles on request.*
I hope you take it easy and do what you need to for your health, you are an amazing person and deserve the rest. ^^
And let any of us digital denizens know if there's anything we can do to help from afar

@Veladynee Part of the reason this is so difficult is that four years ago I hit this point at my former employer and their response was to fire me for 'job abandonment'. This after I'd worked 12 hours for them on July 3rd and 10 hours for them on July 4th at the end of ten kinds of hell for the previous six months. Getting a lot of flashbacks and nightmares, even if it's not remotely the same bad level at the moment.

@zetasyanthis I'd say if possible, if its a major project or few, take on some lighter responsibility to ease yourself back in, if possible, the first few days and build back up. Let yourself have a moment to breathe, relax, and hopefully right yourself, if you can't take a sick day or don't feel it in the best interest.
I'm sure your manager would be more than willing to work with that. ^^
Because you're awesome!

@Veladynee *hugs tight* <3

@zetasyanthis I have my own flashbacks from things back when my mental health was not exactly the greatest, nor functional, so I understand that all too well, nightmares included. It's about the time of year, too, when things got bad on my end (and literally only last year it reached its worse) and so I'm dealing with a lot more of that in my headspace. So, I empathize, immensely... *More hugs deployed.*
