Ugh. just had someone make the argument "'shemale' isn't a slur, I've been sex rping for 20 years and never heard it called one!"
@Felthry I don't care what people use in RPs, or how they identify, but when I was called that yesterday, I was fucking shocked. D:
@zetasyanthis I was just low-key complaining about how the word, which is very definitely a slur, is baked into f-list's interface as one of the (very limited) gender options
@Felthry Eh, I see what you're going for, but I don't think it's that big a deal. Despite being asked if I was one yesterday, which was shockingly offensive and angering, I have zero problems with people self-identifying as whatever they want. (I actually use the herm label myself, for one.)
@zetasyanthis self-identification isn't a problem! It's applying the term to other people without their consent that is.
