He's the type that would have instantly understood why I was transitioning, not questioned it for a moment, and would have never gotten my name or pronouns wrong even after 4 years of knowing old me. It would have mattered to him enough that he wouldn't have even hesitated.

I really hope he's feeling better, also. He had horrible back problems for a relatively young guy. :S

Random #NationalBossDay thoughts: My old manager Ken back in Tucson was of a caliber I'll probably never see again. Completely amazing, both as a person in general, and a manager in particular. I'd have followed (and would still follow) him into hell and back.
