hey friends we have a video a user isn't able to see and i want to see if anyone can help me figure out why

i've tried multiple encodings (mpeg-4 and h264) and neither seems to work for them. disabiling hardware acceleration doesrn't work either.

they're using Firefox 64bit on Windows 7 64 bit if that helps

@Felthry ohhhhhh that explains why I'm confused. This is a different problem it's about the video not playing, not a gif being uploaded as a movie

so maybe there is something wrong with the base mastodon code

@vahnj @Felthry I think Felthry might have misrepresented the problem. We dont' actually know if the videos play fine or not, because it's too much effort to get them to play at all. So it's possible we have the problem mycroft does, and it's possible we don't.

@Rosemary @Felthry can you dm me an image that you've uploaded before that has the problem?
