in Orlando! yeah I know about the hurricane, we're keeping an eye on it. it's about the same temperature but less ash & more water. I've already seen shovel-tailed grackles & an anhinga!!
@green I last went to Orlando some 15 years ago, visiting Disney, and my favorite thing about the entire trip, and what I remember second-most vividly, was the tiny lizards. :D
Come to Austin and I'll show you a hundred-thousand grackles, and let you experience the noise they can generate
It's impressive
@ThatDamnCat there was just one, it only had one foot (the other was a stump) but it was very well-fed. XD
TINY CUTE LIZARDS EVERYWHERE. ON THE SIDEWALKS. ON THE LIGHTPOSTS. IN THE BUSHES. -EVERYWHERE-.
seriously I might die of cute tiny lizard overload. also saw a snowy egret and a great blue heron just hanging out in a ditch. and LIGHTNING.
now sleep. :D
