Guilty pleasure: Highly-mediated consumer experiences. Heavily-themed restaurants and bars. The old Metreon. Disney Stores. Disney stuff in general really I guess.

Wish I'd been able to go to the WotC Game Center when it was still here in Seattle (Y'know, 20 years ago. 9.9)

@indi I want more spaces with heavy theming. I just want less _consumerism_ attached to it. I want more focus on the experiential.

I want to visit Ursula's caves, maybe drink a potion or fifty, without having to pass through the gift shop on the way out. Make a gift shop, but don't force me to pass through it on my way through the magic. Make the experience powerful enough and I'll buy out the gift shop willingly.

@literorrery @indi One thing like that I was able to go to while it existed was the Star Trek Experience in Vegas.
"Beam"aboard the Enterprise (D), wander the bridge, then do a shuttle motion-theater thing at the end.
You could skip the gift shop if you wanted, though given there were costumers wandering around, it was hard to avoid the temptation to throw a tribble at a Klingon.

@emanate Yeah I definitely regret missing that!
