I don’t want to be here today. I don’t really want my current job, I don’t want to be trapped in office work, I definitely don’t want to go back to retail or warehouse, and I’m not smart enough to be a coder. I don’t feel I’m a good enough artist right now to make that work, even if I had knowledge and energy to successfully send out portfolios. So right now I feel very stuck, trapped and treading water.
@Leucrotta Please stop doubting your art. you are good enough. More than good enough. You were good enough when I met you years ago.
@kelseyhusky my color work is weak, and I’m not familiar enough with digital work to do rapid turn around. I bet I could improve that with about 6 months of time. I’m also not sure what markets to target; I definitely don’t think I can provide what furry fans want, and I’m low on resources for doing the Patreon/Kickstarter thing I am probably supposed to. I’m unsure how to compete here.
@Leucrotta So don't worry about what furry fans want. Tell them what you can do. Tell them that you are strongest doing inks, character portraits, and group scenes. No one does groups on a regular basis like you do. So just offer the B/W group scenes, charge what they're worth and the people who want it will come and give you money. Stop trying to make everyone happy by doing everything. Just do what your good at. That's all you've ever had to do.
