@codl it's apparently just a regular USB-C dock that you could use with any laptop (and likewise any regular USB-C dock works with the deck, this one just acts as a stand too)
€100 is weird though, it's only $80 over here. import fees I guess? -F
@codl@Felthry yeah cuz they just relay the signal, the Thinkpad has all the things already and the dock just breaks it out into separate ports. USB-C docks need to have pretty powerful hardware
@codl@Felthry the Steam dock comes with a charger, fwiw, and it has DisplayPort as well as HDMI, which usually isn't on the cheaper docks. It does allow the Steam Deck to support FreeSync, which can be useful

@noiob @codl That was how all laptop docks worked, once upon a time. then USB 3 came out and everyone wants to use one connector for everything
