Portland has a really interesting energy. I'm getting a strong feeling like the city is a living stump in top of a complex root system that extends wide and deep into the earth. Steady and grounded, both in the sense of stabilization and electric discharge.
Does this match with anyone else's experience of the city?

@starkatt @vahnj @thefishcrow Heh, I lived there for six years, and I agree with that. There was more.. something...there. I still miss it, and haven't been back to visit since I moved.
