Hmm yeah, that would be nice. She seemed pretty dead though. I mean we don't really know the rules of this universe, so who honestly knows, but I don't see her coming back- at least not to the "normie plane".

@vahnj I'm also honestly curious about how Will is faring/what he's turned into. And on a more mundane level, really hoping he'll *actually* be a queer character (and that isn't just his dad being an ass). I wouldn't normally vote for a middle schooler to exhibit known sexual preference, but they decided to make Mike/Eleven have attraction for each other, so I figure it's fair game.

@Sparrow that sure would be nice but that's a hard realm to do with kids involved

@vahnj Oh, absolutely. But I think there are chaste and age-appropriate ways to include it. Again, see Mike/Eleven.

It's hard to do it with a kid that's not gonna be in a way that causes people to freak out and go full queerphobic on the show and fans

I also don't trust the creators given that the queerphobic elements in the show aren't defended against at all - winona Ryder's character never says anything directly on what she thinks about it

@vahnj Hmm... Yeah, that's true. Netflix *seems* to have a fairly progressive track record as far as its original creations have gone, but it's hard to say if that would fly for the demographic that watches Stranger Things. Sure, there will be a fair amount of queer nerds like us-- but also the sort of MRA's who like to indulge in 80s nostalgia. So it could be a hard sell, at least for a child (vs teenage or adult) character. (cont)

I would like to see more queer-specific defense from Winona's character, but I doubt we'll see that. More likely, we'll get hints and perhaps queer-baiting.
