I responded to him with the following:
For what little it's worth, after a piece of technology I helped develop was used to call down an airstrike, I left defense forever.
That was not its intended purpose, and many other things could have been done with the technology, but that's what they chose to do.
And I have to live with that, even though I have no idea how many have died because of me.

My only solace is that a peace agreement was recently signed that has a serious hope of ending that war for good. >.<
And yes, I should have known better, should have seen more clearly what ramifications what I was building *could* have, but I didn't. And I made a terrible mistake.
Ever since, my focus has been healing, and I know of at least one life that I've managed to save. It's a start, but I have a long way to go.
