i like prose and music a lot, but i am very, very bad at creating either
the trouble i have there is that they both have "rules", rules that the academic within me wants to learn and memorise by rote, and that the creative in me hates and wants to never use
and the trouble there is, whenever i do find a way to circumvent or subvert them, i end up hating it soon after as pretentious drivel
