i like prose and music a lot, but i am very, very bad at creating either
the trouble i have there is that they both have "rules", rules that the academic within me wants to learn and memorise by rote, and that the creative in me hates and wants to never use
and the trouble there is, whenever i do find a way to circumvent or subvert them, i end up hating it soon after as pretentious drivel

@mono yeah ive think favorites are a bit of a crutch, ive used them in lieu of typing a reply more times than im comfortable admitting
the whole point of the internet is that im not as anxious as in real life dammit!
@mono imo reposting has a use in that its useful for drawing attention to good content and users for followers who may not know
it does become redundant when using it for larger accounts that are already well known though
also i think the presence of a public tl for smaller instances undermines the need for it as well
