Just one #drawing at a good stage to share right now! Stopping to investigate is probably a terrible idea!
reasons you might buy games from the early 90s
* you like pixel art
* you like chip tunes
* you have interest in the history of the medium
* you're sick of modern games for a little bit, with complicated pre-order schemes, microtransactions, and State Farm Insurance sponsorships
* you have a computer that's also a potato
* you appreciate that time has faded out a lot of the less-notable games
* you like game design trends that are not profitable in the current game market
* you know that good design is not a matter of technological obsolesce
The Gender Census 2019 is now open until 25th March!
https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/gendercensus2019/
It's for anyone whose genders (or lack thereof) aren't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and the results are useful in academia, business, and self-advocacy.

My TMS provider just did this to me—
Except it was a PDF. The header text with my name and person-and-not-just-a-number number – the info I already had – can be selected and copied. The long series (30!) of session appointments is, of course, a screengrab of a spreadsheet-style grid widget from a Windows app.
"Thanks, I hate it!"
do you think like
samus naps in the morph ball form in her ship somewhere
just like "welp, on a deep space cruise for a bit, just gonna... curl up in bed" and she pops into the morph ball form and just hops up onto a little shelf and sits there recharging her power suit looking like some kind of google home shit.
In the 1980's, personal computers displaced mainframes. It was a revolution.
Now, we need a new revolution: for personal servers to displace centralized servers.
How can we make this happen? Check out this presentation to learn.

re: Personal mental health good news.
For those who're coming into the saga late or could just use a refresher:
rTMS stands for "repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation", a modern treatment for severe chronic depression (and other things!) that uses series of carefully-directed strong magnetic pulses to... uh... shake loose depression crystals? The important part is that it's the only treatment that's ever actually worked for me for more than a few weeks.
I had a wildly successful run of treatment a little over a year ago, then my insurance provider at the time – Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield – decided I'd had enough wellness and stopped paying, so I had to stop treatment. As expected, I ended up right back where I started... semi-functional, and too irregularly to accomplish pretty much anything with my life.
So yeah, I'm looking forward to getting back on these treatments.
Personal mental health good news.
Finally, something goes right!
By that, I mean that Kaiser Permanente will cover my TMS treatments, meaning I get to be something closer to healthy!
Perhaps I should be grateful, but right now I'm just relieved... and trying hard not to make guesses about when they'll yank this away from me like Anthem did last year.
For now, they did something right, and I get to imagine a future again.
THIS IS SO GOOD and i wish id looked for it BEFORE turning my family off of SU with the first few plodding episodes
