Outback Steakhouse, where there are no rules, just right! Did you want to light a huge, cheap stogie and start puffing away? There isn't a rule against it, only the right of other diners to challenge you to single combat. Ever fancied just blithely wandering into the kitchen and making yourself a Bloomin' Onion? There's no rule saying you can't. Want to simply *float* there? Gravity is patchy within the chaotic realm of Outback Steakhouse and

Apropos of nothing in particular, a reminder:

Satire only works when one's audience is already in on the joke.

Cannabis, to the tune of "Silver Bells":

Seven grams, seven grams
It's such a fine stocking stuffer
Quarter ounce, Quarter ounce
It's what we smoke every day

(And no, my family and I don't go through it quite that quickly.)

Me, 1984: This is absolutely, 100%, unrealistic. No actual enthusiast would see permanently scrambling the 'entire world computer network' as anything but an unmitigated disaster.

Finished coloring a bit of an experiment. For theoretically iconic monsters, giant snakes don't actually seem to feature much in ,

Finished another thing, this is pretty deep Realmsnerd territory. "Gougers" are beholderkin bred by the Phaerimms (yet another Lovecraftian tentacle-monster race) to take out beholders with... uh... barbed tongues? I'm trying to be braver about color contrasts here.

Roleplay, magic, academia, unicorn.

I do my best to not fall into bouts of "let me tell you about my character!" because I get self-conscious about rambling on a topic for which others have little context (or interest). That's why Millimax has her own account for posting journal entries and random thoughts. She's the one trying to become the D&D5e+Eberron equivalent of a... ahem robot unicorn.

But I gotta share this: In-game, she's managed to get as far as replacing – "harmonizing" as she calls it – her front legs. Recently, she published an academic paper¹ detailing the spellcraft involved, and I'm giddy on her behalf. Behold the footnote containing the first reference to her work!

It's fun to be a nerd.

okay lads it's time for me to talk about my literal, actual, most-hated thing in modern media storytelling, because as a writer, it straight-up torpedoes half the stuff I might otherwise enjoy because of how ubiquitous, inane, and cynical it is: the 'Third Act Perceived Betrayal' plot twist
