#drawings today are mostly thinking about different body types and bulking out fabric (and especially Wayne Reynolds' really dynamic triangular stuff), so they're not original at all! Death Knight inspired by Westphalia miniatures, ranger with dragonscale armor is memories of an NPC in Dragon, rogue with grappling hook is fairly original. Kitsune in forest inspired by recent Print My Minis release.
I'll be watching through Centaurworld again.
I want to share it with my spouse, and that'll give me a chance to watch more of the background animation and such.
Plus... I think I need to be in a more relaxed and open state to watch the last two episodes, because I tried to watch this morning and I think I was too distracted to really sink into it.
But I'm definitely watching through it again.
Two more #drawings from today; rogues tackle the secret sewer entrance, and two more weapons with wielders (half elf and I think I was influenced by a recent YT video about guardinals).
Nude, eye contact, promoting fat bodies, Spock from Star Trek
A reminder that Leonard Nimoy (Spock from Star Trek) made a book of photographs showing fat folks as hot and erotic to combat stigma: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0979472725/
I felt okay drawing but not posting stuff the last couple of days so here are #drawings from Tuesday, a trio of wizards exploring beyond a door, and two dinosaurs (vaguely supposed to be Dromaeosaurus and Albertosaurus, but I’m not going for super accurate paleo-art here).
I felt comfortable drawing but not with posting the last couple of days, so here's some #drawings from Monday - World of Darkness characters, one page of Kindred and one page of Garou in their glabro/homid forms.
Now is an excellent time to remind folks of the brilliant Crash Course for Navigating Digital Information:

us voting psa
IF
- you live in a US state that has an election this November
- your state allows you the option of voting by mail
- you're not already set up to vote by mail
THEN today is a good day to apply online for your mail-in ballot! local elections matter. make it easy for yourself to participate!
note: some states require you to apply for a mail-in ballot again for every election.
if you're not sure whether you can vote by mail, here's a map: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/politics/vote-by-mail-states/
Uhoh. Centaurworld carries more magic than expected. (not actually spoilers)
In the second episode, Horse sings about being afraid that by time she makes it home, she'll be unrecognizable to her Rider. That hit me hard, right in the feels, probably again because of Millimax. I nearly cried, and it's only episode two! I feel like this show is calculatedly finding my weak points.
I remember catching glimpses, sometimes whole episodes, of the treacley crap that passed for cartoons aimed at the lucrative and impressionable young "girl" demographic... and actually liking some of them, then later in life growing super jaded about them. Centaurworld really feels like some folks in the same boat decided to go back and express all that jadedness (it's a word, okay?) while digging through for the worthwhile bits and bringing them to the surface where they can be earnest, and that's cutting right through my defenses and I'm glad for it.
"Centaurworld" is the opposite of Millimax. (Netflix show versus tabletop RPG character)
I just watched the first episode of "Centaurworld" and compared to my sweet little unicorn Millimax, this protagonist has a story that's... um... well, let's compare:
Differences from Millimax:
• a reasonably normal horse
• whose only name is "Horse"
• and who couldn't even talk
• and had only ever known war and combat and is just fine with that
• loses her companion – her rider – before the adventure even starts
• and winds up in a wholly different place without intending to
• because of an artifact she didn't even know was magic
• because she doesn't even know what magic is
• so her only goal is to return home to violence and such
• because she finds the new place to be unsettlingly cheerful and colorful
• and occupied by a herd of too-friendly centaurs who enjoy carefree lives
• who she has to work to convince to help her
• by singing to them!
Similarities to Millimax:
• she likes apples
• yeah that's pretty much it
Naturally, I gotta see how this plays out.
#drawings today were World of Darkness characters for no particular reason. Page of vampires, page of werewolves (in their homid and glabro forms, mostly Black Furies and Fianna).
There's nothing quite like clicking the "Unsubscribe" link on one of many unwanted promotional e-mails from a company I purchased from once, only for my browser's anti-bullshit filter to block it as dangerous.
I'm sure it sucks for them to lose a customer, but they should look on the bright side! They can still sell my info because I don't live in California.
Heads up, there's folks on Discord spreading malware via itch that will take over your Discord account. https://twitter.com/PeableFlip/status/1434368961102090240
The payload and itch URL they use change occasionally but currently the "game" they're sending around is called Sway
hey all! one of my non-fediverse friends is a therapist in washington state and they’re currently seeking new clients! i know there are a lot of WA people on the fediverse for some reason, so i thought i’d put their info out there. they accept premara and lifewise insurance.
