Upon trying to log in to the itch.io app, I get captchas that are all busywork puzzles... and no matter how many I complete, it never lets me through. Additionally, if I click on the little audio icon to try a different method... I get a message telling me that I might actually be an automated system.
Come on, folks. Mechanical Turks wanna play indie games too!
How to Mastodon like the pros:
Step 1: Learn to use the "favourite" star to signal to friends that even though you don't have the opportunity or the words to reply, you saw their toot and want to offer support!
Step 2: Turn off "favourite" visibility in the notifications column so you never see this in action yourself....
Step 3: wait that's not what I
Step 5: WHY NO STARS
Step 4: halp
Step ?: Oops! Fixed it. People love me again!
Step 7: Now you can pick up anything!
Too much sex?
I will, however, judge people based on whether they love blue cheese.
That shit be naaaaaaaasty.
Too much sex?
I often wonder just how oblivious I am to the sexual world around me. I'm just bad at picking up on flirting and such.
Today, I am discovering that many folks feel othered by the way their communities seem to assume sex to be a standard element of deepening relationships.
This is generating some really interesting and intersecting ripples of thought. The one I want to make sure I express is this:
I'll always do my best to avoid judging anyone based on sexual tastes and appetite.
Yeah, I'm pretty much done with feminine pronouns. They only fit marginally better than masculine ones.
The funny thing is, I tried hard to push for gender-nonspecific pronouns fifteen years ago or so, but untreated anxiety and depression meant I couldn't weather the social pushback for terribly long. I'm glad you kids have it comparatively easy these days, and I'm glad I can get back to helping make the push the rest of the way.
UX whinging.
While I'm at it—
My panel's native resolution is 3840×2160 (yeah, it's a fancy boy) and it refreshes at 60Hz, which is nice.
When I try to add a "custom resolution" of the same at 50Hz refresh (you know, so I can watch European videos without all the nasty stuttering or temporal blur), I should definitely get an error telling me that such a thing exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity. That makes perfect sense.
UX whinging.
Oh, and make damn sure to replace the opening page of the driver settings with a big ad scroller that's twice the size of the functional area. That is _precisely_ what I want as an end-user.
UX whinging.
Hey, Intel, I've got an idea for your video driver information page! You should make it so I can't actually copy and paste any text from it. Just put a little "Save" button there that brings up a generic file dialog (DPI-unaware, natch) and suggests a filename that doesn't sort right.
Also, please make sure that driver package releases use one number, drivers themselves use unrelated numbers, and it's nearly impossible to cross-reference the two.
Oh! Nevermind, you beat me to it.

This is a tool-assisted speedrun of the Sega Genesis game _The Ren & Stimpy Show Presents: Stimpy's Adventure._ Being a tool-assisted speedrun, it is recorded from emulation, so you get to enjoy a seven-minute tour of the goofy weird nonsense of the infamous show with none of that pesky dialogue save the choicest scraps of roughly digitised voice samples.
It's just about the right dose of the show to satisfy any filthy craving to see it for another decade.
