@noiob somehow I doubt cat5e can handle the bandwidth of hdmi

@noiob the cat5e standard only specifies performance up to 100MHz, though some manufacturers specify out to 350MHz

I guess if you're using all four pairs on both cables the standard would get you 800MHz, or about 800Mbps, so I guess you could do 1.65Gbps if you use cable rated for higher than the standard requires (or cat6 cable, which is specified up to 250MHz), though I'm not 100% certain that 100MHz rating was per wire pair

@Felthry I guess it'll only support lower resolutions, or not work at all… I kinda wanna buy one to try it

@noiob well, if it's cheap, go for it! make sure you use max-length (100m) ethernet cables to get the full experience
