tales of arise is perhaps the first time we've seen a game put spoilers in the pause menu

@Kaffe@chitter.xyz that's cheaper than a somewhat-above-average used car!

re: today's thoughts, lewd multi

@socks yes very

today's thoughts, lewd multi

-F

today we learned: there was a castlevania game called Grimoire of Souls that was released exclusively in *Canada* of all places

we've never heard of a Canadian-exclusive game before

re: VR controller stuff

@owashii@plush.city yeah, like I said, it gets rid of water, and water accelerates rusting
-F

re: VR controller stuff

@owashii@plush.city it happens to be slightly lubricating, but it's volatile and evaporates fairly quickly because that's what it's designed to do, push water away and then get out of the way itself

you want actual lubricant, even nonstick cooking spray would probably work better than wd-40 (though *that* may go rancid over time, being organic; just use proper lithium grease or something)
-F

re: VR controller stuff

@owashii@plush.city It's not a good idea for squeaky hinges either!! it gets rid of the squeak for a short while but then the squeak returns even worse before long

WD-40 is *not* a lubricant, its entire purpose is to get rid of water, that's what the WD stands for, "water displacement"
-F

re: VR controller stuff

@owashii@plush.city okay contact cleaner is fine, just wd-40 is really bad for not just electronics but actually most things people think you should use wd-40 for
-F

re: crypto

@keliff suggestion: defiantly refuse to understand that "crypto" means cryptocurrency, keep sending them links to papers about cryptography, sketchy websites about cryptozoology, anything else you can think of that starts with crypto-
-F

re: VR controller stuff

@owashii@plush.city WD-40 is *not* what you want for de-squeaking things, despite what people tend to think. It's not intended for lubrication.
-F

fun fact: the *entire* reason portrayals of monsters have historically had green skin is because that specific shade of green makeup was used to make actors look very pale in black and white movies, because for whatever reason black and white film reacted particularly strongly to that color light

they just kept using the same stuff in color movies too, for whatever reason
-F

basically everything can be cute if you get to know it
-F

@curls it's still possible to install on any computer from the purchase-complete page of the online version of steam specifically apparently
