@alexi_cryptovex how did you find that post???? that was from four and a half years ago and posts on here are intentionally not searchable???

@kat i read that and thought you were saying "this is an omega-m-ass model" like you'd say "a cool-ass car" but no, this is the case where the ass-car reading is correct
-F
@srol yes i had to look that up
-F
@srol there's a character in Tales of Berseria who immediately came to mind reading this
she gives her name as Magilou, and says that it's short for Mazhigigika Miludin do Din Nolurun Dou

@heatherhorns be nice to people and they will like you, what a surprising revelation, no one would have understood that without some myth story

@Kyresti *nods* we do still have the local instance of the inexplicably identical mexican restaurant; i was a little concerned about not having that when we moved (college towns always have a lot of choices when it comes to food) but it seems there's enough mexican/southwestern influence here to get some good restaurants (I include southwestern because a lot of this cuisine is native to the southwestern US too, not just northern mexico)
barbecue's the only thing we've been really missing
-F
@socks A british person, apparently
though someone else stopped him
-F
@Kyresti huh! didnt' know it was different from the spanish variety
I don't know if "up here" is all that different from here though, now that we've moved to oregon!
-F
@Kyresti random aside: i feel like in the last couple years we've (us personally, not people in general) kind of come to appreciate tex-mex/southwestern as a separate cuisine from actual mexican, and also american chinese as a separate cuisine from actual chinese. that definitely wasn't a distinction we made like five or six years go
-F
@Kyresti yeah chorizo is spanish! it's popular in tex-mex food though, probably because it's tasty. It might also be popular in actual mexican food but we don't know enough about that to say
-F
they're also putting chorizo in it which i'm pretty certain paella definitely does not have chorizo in it, but that's more excusable because the format is basically "you don't get a recipe, now make the thing and see how it comes out"
-F
@pup_hime "i have no idea what i'm doing" is how much of any myst game goes
