@kat i am not sure--i think it just takes off an mp and refills the orange gauge? i don't remember sorry
-F

@kat yeah basically

i forgot that some spells work that way
-F

@kat (because as soon as you use any mp, you will then have enough orange to restore one mp)
-F

@kat the orange bar fills up as you collect mp orbs

if you currently have 1 mp and the orange bar fills up to the same level as 2 mp (i implied it would be just 1 before, that was incorrect but we haven't played it in like, ten years, sorry), the orange bar will empty and you now have 2 mp

if you had 2 mp and fill the bar to 3 mp, you will now have 3 mp, and so on

when you're at full mp you can still collect a full mp meter of orange, this basically means you have one more MP than your max
-F

@kat the only reason we remember how it works is because it was extremely confusing to us too
-F

@kat yeah, that means you have enough stored up that as soon as you use magic you'll get one MP restored
-F

@kat i wouldn't say we're a kingdom hearts liker but we've played it and when the orange bar fills up to X MP worth of bar, where X is your current MP, you recover 1 MP

this means it's easy to recover MP when you're close to empty, but hard to when you're close to full

today we learned: just as the word strength means "the quality of being strong", there is also a word wrength, which means "the quality of being wrong"

hello i see a thing doing the rounds so maybe i can interest you in the original source :koboldblush: twitter.com/catboots/status/98

@kat we always thought the D looked like a backwards G so it's more of a walp gisnep

food, fruit

our boss puts out little snacks in the break area from time to time at work, and the most recent one was a punnet of tiny apples, like the size of clementines

we had one, and they were very disappointing apples. almost no flavor to them and very little juice. i know it's about as out of season as apples get right now but still, those were disappointing
-F

@Kaffe@chitter.xyz huh, we're the exact opposite! a lot of the time when we finish the story of a game we lose much of the drive to play it because it's now categorized as "finished" in our brain, so we actually kinda shy away from doing main story progression until we do a lot of sidequest stuff first

and sometimes we end up just never finishing the game at all as a result
-F

@Kaffe@chitter.xyz maybe we didn't give it enough of a chance! but DS3 kinda requires you to get good at a build before even starting a character, what with having an actual boss in the tutorial area, and i don't know if we could beat iudex gundyr with a base sorcerer character--might have to level another starting build into int to do that
