re: gaming trashpost

@LexYeen reverse engineering a lost processor architecture by using a build of skyrim for it

@sharkNserg "Yes, but wouldn't you want to look fabulous while doing it?" "Dragons inherently look fabulous."

re: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

@ziphi miraidon is also a Good. don't forget that.
-F

@Aether also not sure if it's an intentional design choice or just "this is the easiest way to do it"
-F

@Aether the waiting on reapproval is just how it works, i don't know about having to import it separately

-F

@terrana @niss Sonic has always been a bit of a mess when it comes to program quality, hasn't it? We always kinda thought it was just the 3d ones that were a real mess, but it looks more like it's just the 3d ones are a mess in more immediately obvious ways
-F

@terrana @niss That's rather amusing, I like it.

As we recall, the level select was a last-minute addition, so it makes sense things weren't fully tested with it. (We've heard that Sega at the time refused to publish anything that could possibly crash, so they essentially wrapped the entire game in a try() structure and had the catch() be the level select, saying "you found the secret level select")

at least i think that was sonic 3 where they did that
-F

@owashii@plush.city @LexYeen there's also X - x, and that's all we can remember right now

there are a lot of glitch pokemon -F

@owashii@plush.city also down+b/up+a/whatever
-F

@NovaSquirrel Kirby 64 also had lots of enemies per ability, because it also had very few abilities. The fewest in the series, I think

re: pokemon sv

@LexYeen ah, we're getting distracted from doing the first gym! also went out in the opposite direction to check out the other story stuff but then went back because indecisive
-F

@hystericempress *extremely*! i would love to hear someone's live reactions to some of our favorites, that's what we like about watching streams
-F

@codl we all know what that account is about but i am just hoping on the off chance it's named for the freedom-of-the-press or freedom-of-religion clause or something and it's actually about, i dunno, old news articles about important historical events, or interesting little-known religions, or something

but no, i'm sure it's what it sounds like
-F

@NovaSquirrel Most of the common abilities I think have two or three enemies that give them (plus a miniboss), but some of the less common ones, or just more specialized ones, do have only one enemy (plus a miniboss. there's always a miniboss except for sleep.). I think bomb only has one enemy for instance? pretty sure UFO and wheel do too
-F/R?

re: pokemon sv

@terrana they aaaare. They did a pretty good job giving them some personality in cutscenes too, though the rushed nature of the game means there's only a limited amount of polish on other stuff.

The other version's is called koraidon, if you want to see them too! They are also very good, just from the opposite version to the one we have.

miraidon is a Friend and i love them
