@LexYeen i know we liked it but our favorite gum was one that i think came a little later (and might still be around. we should check the impulse buy section next tim ewe're at a store for nostalgia), i forget what it was called...ah yeah it was this one! this specific flavor too

this isn't really what people think of when they think desert though. it's the central oregon high desert, a high altitude region that's very cold and has a lot of plants and plenty of water from streams, it just gets almost no rainfall (which is the definition of a desert)

if you aren't already, you may want to look up dfhack and dwarf therapist! two tools we find completely essential for playing it (probably not updated for the new version yet though)

@trysdyn I do look forward to how you like Symphonia and Abyss though! It might be easier if you play Eternia first? That one is different enough of a game to feel more like a different thing entirely than "why are these features missing", combat system wise, but it's similar enough to the earlier 3D ones that you can go from it to Symphonia pretty easily

@hi_cial it's really good! we should get some and make it again sometime, it's been a while

we like to add cinnamon and brown sugar to it. as a kid we added like five times the amount of brown sugar our mom added when she wasn't looking (i'm pretty sure she knew though) but these days we wouldn't add anywhere near that much

@LexYeen i'm okay with restaurant seating if it's like, full moon barbecue (order at the front, get a number to put on your table) or dreamland barbecue (more traditional restaurant but with the feeling of a bed and breakfast being run out of someone's house, if you can understand what we mean), but jim and nicks gets a little ehhh (a proper sit-down restuarant with fancy menus and stuff????) and beyond that is just, why are you even doing barbecue if you're going to do it like *that*

@LexYeen we have fairly strong feelings about barbecue apparently

possibly because it's a food that feels kinda "ours"? like we aren't good at making it but it's a cuisine that's unique to where we grew up and one of the first foods we ever *really* enjoyed
