tip to anyone making video games that have voice acting:

make sure your voice actors agree on the pronunciation of names, unless you have some reason for the *characters* to disagree on that

Did You Know: Bluetooth is named after the 10th century Norwegian king Harald Bluetooth, who was also not able to reliably connect to audio devices wirelessly.

@terrana the world really needs to stop being so bad. i hope things get better for you soon.

@noiob I don't think we've ever really paid any attention to the separators for dates, i don't think it matters what separator you use

@hi_cial i just feel like asian style noodles and european style noodles are sufficiently Different in terms of how they're used in foods that it makes sense to make the distinction! i can see why you might not though

store.steampowered.com/app/863

huh. this looks like a spiritual successor to star control 2

reviews are good, might be worth a try sometime
-F

@hi_cial just because pasta is a word usually used to refer to noodles of Italian or sometimes other European origin, and soba is pretty firmly East Asian

if it was rice noodles i'd say it's definitely not pasta but soba is wheat-based so i'm all conflicted about whether it counts or not
-F

@hi_cial i retract my earlier statement, this does sound pretty good

though it feels weird to count yakisoba as pasta
-F

@Kaffe@chitter.xyz it is wrong (the proper plural if you go to the greek root would be octopodes) but it is also right (that's what people use as the plural of octopus)

English isn't really the only language like that, that's the prevailing attitude of linguists in general, but english is an example of a language that doesn't have a language authority who says what the official language is (French and Spanish both have one of these, I think, for instance)

if there's aesthetics is there also rsathetics

this is a bad joke

for your amusement, a pair of words that should not go together in any way shape or form:
