alternatively some other firefox fork that allows old addons *and* doesn't break weasyl and stackexchange, that would work too

why did they have to change the addon system, i hate how things are being made less accessible

this is a call for help because we kind of need this feature for accessibility reasons that are somewhat complicated to explain and i would really like to be able to use weasyl and stackexchange and stuff again

we've been using waterfox classic for the last several years so we can continue using an old extension that does what we want but websites keep breaking compatibility with the old version of firefox this is based on

can someone *please* find us a way to use modern firefox or a modern firefox fork with a download status bar that works

we hate the downloads being a button in the upper toolbar and really want them to be on the bottom but it seems like no extensions for modern firefox can do that without huge compromises

@Dex perfectly valid--we have different use cases and different preferences! we like large screens that give us plenty of room to have a bunch of windows open and stuff, personally

@noiob sorry i think i'm having a bit of a depression spiral here

it feels like everything we use keeps being changed to be less usable to us and there's nothing we can do to keep it working how we like it other than try to keep the existing things going as long as possible
