(the 3 musketeers name makes more sense when you know that it used to be a pack of three with strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate filling, but then they changed it to just chocolate at some point) (i don't know why milky way changed to mean something different though)

because yesterday we learned that outside the US, what we call a 3 musketeers bar is called a milky way, and what we call a milky way is called a mars bar

@relee Journey to the West gets a lot of "remakes". You don't see that very often with Romance of the Three Kingdoms or Water Margin (in the latter case, the game series Suikoden is the only thing we can think of that's based on it)

we had a video game of it as a kid, which is what the previous post was about, but we definitely didn't get the whole story from that

but also dragon ball z feels very much like a "making it up as they go" sort of story--i understand it originated from toriyama telling his kids bedtime stories or something along those lines

we just replayed it for nostalgia reasons and the game itself holds up pretty well too, it's pretty easy but it's enjoyable
