@bj I'd be curious to see animations of these coming on screen when you enter a new area! they look like that kind of thing

re: silly

@BatElite you can in theory transmit data over a single wire without ground though, it's called a waveguide

the wire is usually hollow and specifically shaped

re: NSFW innuendo mention

@mossmeow that would make sense. Overzealous profanity detection

particularly because cum, pronounced roughly "coom", is still a word used in english in a variant of its original latin meaning ("with")
-F

@Nine @niss @Gulfie you could say the same about feet, at this point it's just the name of the unit
-F

@mossmeow could there be something in the lorem ipsum that's set it off?

re: tail kink

@Oneironott imagine: synth cutie whose tail ends in a collar
-F

@Oneironott i'd visit this car wash

or taur wash, as it may be

re: weird multi, no image description, merging-adjacent

@patchwork yeah, same here... just feels like a much better state than the isolation we're all stuck with
-F

re: weird multi, no image description, merging-adjacent

@patchwork yeah, that's what i was thinking too. i'd enjoy that

it'd also mean that merging with your friends would be a neat way to spend time with them
-F

re: weird multi, no image description, merging-adjacent

@patchwork also your talking about the tines (a book we still haven't read. should look for it sometime) got me thinking about multibody stuff and the idea of like

bodies, complete with their brains, being something you can just exchange between people. if someone needs to do some electrical work, they could borrow a body with the knowledge and skills to do that from a friend. instead of copying a recipe from a neighbor, ask to borrow one of their bodies that knows how to make it

just, the thought of having people be composites of fractional identities, and being able to swap those fractional identities around... it's a good thought

NSFW ones re: weird multi, no image description, merging-adjacent

@patchwork and a couple nsfw ones, one of my predecessor Xolroc as a taur, drawn by inquis, and one of a random character who both has the floating hands and two bodies

...it's not every day we find someone else who appreciates this kind of stuff in the same way I do, sorry i got kinda infodump, wanna-share-all-the-stuff about it

re: weird multi, no image description, merging-adjacent

@patchwork oh yes we have another one! this is ʔæþra, a character we played in a ttrpg once, drawn by muniversal

It's a magical researcher, and the disconnected limbs are not normal for its species (though the three legs and three eyes are); they're a result of a magical accident that made it have to learn telekinesis to get around without help

re: weird multi, no image description, merging-adjacent

@patchwork oh absolutely, that's also something i've done a lot with

Having multiple bodies to interact with the world with is just, extremely good?

honestly that's where almost all of our kinks come from, is a desire to expand possibilities, to have more agency and to be able to do more things

...also just, being multibodied and being able to cuddle with yourself sounds pretty great honestly

weird multi, no image description

@patchwork I got this sketch sheet a few years ago from @/catterfly@awoo.space !
