@lio I'm going to disagree with this and say that a CW is hard required for any sort of NSFW content on most of fedi, and it's usually better if you get more specific than just "NSFW"

Some of us don't want to filter NSFW stuff out, but want to be able to choose when to engage with it! Even better if we know what type of thing more specifically than just "nsfw"! A CW allows that, filtering things does not

it's never been a feature we or most people we saw around fedi used, so it's weird to see everyone using tons of them suddenly

i'm not saying they're bad! just, i feel like we've seen more hashtags in posts in the last month than the entire rest of the five years we've been on the platform
