some part numbers are just really pleasing, like the 2N2222 or the NE555, the Z80, the LM741... Something about those particular part numbers is just nice. The first two, it's the repetition, but the 741 it's just the nice declining sequence and the Z80 I dunno, familiarity? it's just a nice part number.

@starkatt you tend to like weird interesting electronics stuff so pinging you on this

so apparently there's a company, Lansdale Semiconductor, with the slogan "Today's technology, tomorrow.", and their entire business model is producing obsolete semiconductor devices.

I just really like something about this, but I'm not sure what

or arugula pesto

or cabbage pesto, that would be awful

Show thread

thought: you can make pesto with herbs other than basil

second thought: this could lead to some really awful-tasting pestos

people seem to think that the wild arms series jumped the shark after the third entry and honestly I'm not seeing it, I do think wild arms 3 is better than 4, but 4 is better than 1 and 2 still

still, this game hits like a sledgehammer to the emotions

well.

add Wild Arms 4 to the list of games that have made us cry

we were not in a good place mentally to play this game today I think

rrf, not looking forward to travelling this weekend

related note: we're not going to be around from friday afternoon until sunday evening (UTC-5)

it's amazing to me that, through liberal use of glitches, people have figured out how to 100% a game about jumping while only pressing the jump button 22 times in the entire game

and they can non-100% beat the game only pressing the jump button once

( @Rosemary left this note for me last night and I found it amusing enough to share!)
