there are fascinating things about this piece both from a musical and a technical standpoint--if you just go by its published specifications the SID (the C64's sound chip) wouldn't be able to play this at all, lots of it was made using an actual hardware bug
(this is the Tetris music for the commodore 64 version of Tetris, by the way. It's not Korobeiniki and it's fantastic. Not earworm-y, but legitimately good music.)

people are talking about nintendo direct and we never actually watch those because of reasons and I just keep seeing people say things like "mario maker" and "dragon quest" and even just "oh this looks cool" with no context whatsoever

Consider using just steady lights instead of blinking ones. I am epileptic and have to bike everywhere to get around. Blinking lights, at best, give me a searing headache, and at worst a seizure.
Yes, it may take more battery or more charge power, but you are Still visible and not hurting people's heads and putting them at risk.

I had a thought many years ago about how weird it is that the phrase “raised by wolves” is used to refer to someone who lacks social skills, because real wolves actually have strong and complex social relationships.
