Talked to our dad about wanting to get a hybrid or electric vehicle (we've mentioned this desire several times before) and asked for advice on how to save up money for one and his response was "why don't you go to local dealers and look at used ones, I'll help you buy one if it's something you feel strongly about"

so uh, probably going to go to a carmax today and ask to see some cars

this is kind of sudden and not what I was expecting to happen

someone in a discord room apparently decided that I was getting defensive and offended because I used an exclamation mark when I said "oh, I'm just curious!"

I am completely baffled at this and don't understand why they're all bristly at me now

just tell me the names "thyratron", "klystron", and "magnetron" don't sound cool

fun fact: the entire reason that vacuum tubes like the 6N8 exist is because germany decided they would tax electronics based on the number of tube sockets in them... so tube manufacturers started making multiple tubes in a single glass envelope, that fit together into a single socket

it's interesting to realize that I have the power to completely change someone's mood just by putting words in this box... I hope I tend to change moods for the better!

so uh, apparently people think dragon quest builders 2 is really good

was the first one also good? i feel like we might have missed out on a good game and kind of want to go try it now. we can't really afford it now but when we can, what system would be best to get it on?

okay and then we got four emails in rapid succession that say, in order,
-"Hello, Status of following WO has been changed" (followed by the work order number and some minor details)
-a completely blank email with no subject
-"Work order has been placed on hold" in the subject line, with body text "Hello," and nothing else
-"Hello, a maintenance member will contact you shortly"

I think something is wrong with the ticketing system

just placed a maintenance request with our apartment and uh. Apparently I placed this in the future?
