what actual advantages are there to using directx 12 instead of dx11

no way are we playing all of the series, it has eight games in it, one of them twice

I think the Ys series, or at least its first two games, might be our next thing after finishing Boktai

a first-pass list is:

Long games (multiple streams):
- Wild ARMs 3
- Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
- Suikoden 2
- Tales of Eternia
- Boktai 2
- Boktai 3
- Terranigma

Short games (one or two streams):
- Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished: Omen
- Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished: The Final Chapter

I'm kinda focusing on comparatively little-known games here, since people already know the big names like final fantasy and pokemon and stuff

talking to @connie on their stream got me thinking about what other games I want to stream in the future

great, got a refill of our medication and it's from a different manufacturer and now it's *exactly* the same shape and size as a different medication we take on a different schedule

how exactly does a 1080p usb 2.0 capture card work anyway

simple math suggests that it has to have an on-board video encoder, as 60 Hz 1080p 24bpp video would require just shy of 3 Gb/s, over six times what USB 2.0 can handle

oh, dissociation time, okay

you ever hear something about a video game, think it sounds interesting, go to check its price on steam, and then discover that you've apparently owned it since september of last year?

playing civilization vi

just made a trade deal with (honestly actually just acceded to the demands of) russia, playing as scythia

got a notification saying that my delegate in russia learned that russia is trading with scythia

i think we knew that already, delegate person

I like when games have a weapon that heals instead of hurts when used to attack

got a headache? Let me just beat you over the head with my magic healing club

If your country was to stop doing DST, would you prefer to stay on:

i don't think we've ever before had a meeting literally end before it began

both us and our research advisor arrived at the (digital) meeting early, only to call off the meeting and set up a replacement tomorrow because he's still working on something with a deadline of one hour from now

so the meeting ended about two minutes before it was scheduled to start

reading reviews on everyday items on amazon is sometimes amusing but this time we just learned that apparently people don't know that IEC 60320 is an international standard and not just the part number of a laptop cord, these reviews are full of people affirming that yes, it does fit their (insert manufacturer here) laptop
