today we learned: due to damage while shipping it cross-country, apparently the Galileo spacecraft's mission had to be reworked because its main antenna didn't properly unfold, and so it couldn't send data back to earth at anything close to the designed bit rate since it had to use its secondary, low-gain antenna instead

a mh-related problem I have, request for advice
You know that thing that some people get, possibly related to attention disorders, where if you have a thing scheduled for some point in the day, good luck getting anything else done, because there's better-than-even odds you're going to just wait for that time to avoid missing it, possibly because you got punished before for doing otherwise?
How do you fix that?

My desktop is dead. My power supply died. For those who know this stuff, the 12v rail was only putting out 9.5v. Not good. Does anyone have a spare 600w or higher PSU that I can have (or buy on the very cheap)?
