i wonder what sorting algorithm people tend to use when sorting things

like if you give someone a pile of cards with numbers on them and ask them to sort them what is their thought process like

probably insertion sort?

definitely insertion sort if you give someone an already sorted list and a small collection of things to add to it in the proper location--like putting back library books

I could see people doing something quicksort-y in the former situation though

need to step away from this thing now because it is extremely frustrating when you try to gently correct someone on their misconceptions and they take what you say and just say "oh so i was right all along" when you were explicitly saying that they were not right and are misunderstanding a thing

and then they start arguing with you about how their thing is right and stuff

Just had a strange thought: if chakra (the concept from various forms of south and east asian mysticism) are tied to specific locations on the body, do taurs have more of them?

A musical group's vegetable garden has some B. vulgaris that's not doing too well.... yeah, this band has some sick beets

new game + is kind of a cop-out, and the whole thing most games do of like, put you back outside the final dungeon in the game state you were in before entering it but now there's bonus stuff unlocked now

just once i'd like to see another game live up to our expectations for post-game content

honestly at the very least have a game-beaten state where the bad guy you just spent thirty minutes killing in an epic multi-phase boss battle is, you know, actually gone and stuff, and you can see the effect of that on people and places

it occurs to me that our excessive expectations for post-game content in video games is probably a consequence of pokemon crystal being our first video game

the game that gives you an entire second world map, eight additional bosses, and one extra super-boss, along with (minimal) additional story, after you beat it
