has anyone else ever seen twitch say you can't talk in a chatroom without having a verified phone number? we were going to watch a thing earlier today but that just put us off from it and i'm a little disappointed about that

huh, levels 4 and 5 are swapped in zelda's 2nd quest. You get the fourth triforce piece from the dungeon that calls itself level 5, and the fifth one from level 4, and beating level 4 unlocks 1st-quest-level-5 as a whistle warp point and vice versa.

people talk about tax evasion all the time, but why doesn't anyone ever talk about tax accuracy?

it occurs to me that Zelda 2 is actually quite a lot like Dark Souls

like i know it's a meme to compare things to dark souls but

zelda 2's gameplay loop kinda consists of learning where enemies are and how to fight each individual type of enemy, and when something goes wrong it frequently compounds into a ton of damage or just an outright death as you get out of the rhythm

we managed to get into flavored sparkling water because our brother had accidentally bought some that he thought was fruit soda when we visited for the holidays, and it turns out it's pretty good

refreshing to have something not so obnoxiously sweet

nonsense thought of the day:
yugioh, except it's marioh

random thought: is "miss" being the word for losing/failing a minigame in mario party a quirk of the translation, or something else?

Sketches of Vesta, since I felt like drawing her some more especially with how unsatisfied I was with the last few. These came out pretty well, though. A range of moods and levels of simplification. I think her design is pretty stable. But there are larger questions now - who is she, really? Where does she fit into the larger scheme of things? What's been keeping her from taking the role she deserves?

what the *actual* fuck, why

did this actually happen?

oh we remembered what the terrible NES game was called! it's hoshi wo miru hito

something that slightly confuses us about british english: why would you call it a courgette when you could instead call it a zucchini and have an excuse to say zook

fun fact: vinyl chloride, the monomer that the popular polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is made from, is actually horrendously toxic, carcinogenic, ozone-depleting, and a fire hazard

kind of amazing how something as dangerous as that gets made into something as safe and everyday as PVC

what are those buttons called that are all in a set and pushing one button makes the other ones pop out

macarons and cheese: weird but okay if it's like ricotta or cream cheese with sugar

was going to look up some headphones someone mentioned out of curiosity and: what the fuck discord why is there a loading screen on your right click menu

it's really hard to find information and pictures of this thing because HP has since reused the part number for a printer, but i think it's a design from the mid-60s or maybe very early 70s--it's not tube-based, but it's from a time period where "fully transistorized" was a selling point
