I've realized there are several words that, if I see them used as an insult, just make me want to avoid the person entirely, but if I see them used in a positive light, I become much more comfortable around the person using them.
Words like "SJW" or "gay" or "communist", that sort of thing.

I've been a librarian for a while now, but I still sometimes take a moment to be amazed that I can find some random very gay book and fill out a form and it'll just show up for me in a week, free of charge.
Libraries are seriously amazing, go use your local library to death, use their ILL services and read and learn everything.

I kind of miss multi-disc games because they were almost like having two or three or four games in one, with a climactic event at the end of each disc. Like, in a lot of games, the end of disc 1 could be the end of the entire game, but the developers wanted to have more story so there's a plot twist or something similar and it turns out the bad guy you just killed was actually only trying to protect the world from an even worse guy or something

Dear every UI designer: You know those new, super-cool disappearing scroll bars that only magically appear when you hover the mouse over JUST THE RIGHT INVISIBLE SPOT? And vanish again if you're one pixel out? So you can never tell where you are in the scroll and, in fact, they completely don't fulfil their purpose for existence as a scroll indicator?
I know you love them but they're trash, sorry.
