Even better, have them pick up a whole bunch of loot at once and then have to figure out which one of these things is making all these potatoes and how do you turn it off my pack is getting heavy!

Idea for an enchanted item for your rpg campaign: The Ring of Spontaneous Potato Generation. Every few turns, the Ring of Spontaneous Potato Generation has a chance to spontaneously generate a potato. There is nothing special about the potato at all, it's perfectly ordinary and average. See what uses your players can come up with for this largely useless item!
