different people have different experiences and sometimes it throws us off a bit when something you consider to be a _very_ basic thing, one of the absolute classics, turns out to be something someone else has never heard of

then again, this is the same video in which I learned that the apparently quite well-known spy vs spy was a video game and not a cartoon (hey, that art style looks very much like it could be a hannah-barbara cartoon or something) (it was the game underneath phantasy star in the stack, and the guy said "oh now this one I know, this was one of my favorites on the amiga")

to be fair he mostly does stuff about 8-bit computers like the C64 and early PC-compatibles, rather than dedicated video game consoles but still

it's _phantasy star_.

not the greatest game ever (people do look back very fondly on it though) but surely the _series_ would be recognisable at least?

so, now that Trials of Mana / Seiken Densetsu 3 has been officially translated, I'm curious what the list of Games That Should Have Been Localized But Weren't looks like

I know of two entries on it:
- Mother 3
- Terranigma*

Terranigma gets an * because it did get an english release, just not a north american one for some reason

i have no idea what's going on in a number of different things right now and it's stressful because any of them could turn out to resolve in a way that basically ruins our life and that's probably an exaggeration but emotions are really high right now and i don't know what to do and i don't know how to even adequately express the problem or why i'm even trying to express the problem because no one here can help either and for some reason it just feels wrong to end this sentence but it hsa to end somewhere so here

i'm just really stressed and i don't know what's happening and i'm worried about losing friends or places i feel safe over this and i don't know what to do and what is happening and why

i don't even know who can be trusted because basically everyone we know who would know enough to say anything about it is in the group being targeted and also one of the people involved in the harassment is apparently someone whose actions previously (presumably accidentally) resulted in two of our closest friends having a falling out and not being friends with each other anymore and that's a wound that still hurts and

i feel like things are happening and they are not good things and i can't do anything to affect them in any way

um, do i want to know what's going on

apparently some (rather innocent) messages I posted in a discord server are in a screenshot someone posted on twitter for??? some reason???? and people are talking about harassment and things going bad and
