seriously though that'd be great for blind people, an electronic game that requires no video

Show thread

there are video games, why are there no audio games

explaining the joke

combat is a very simplistic 2-player game; it barely even keeps score, let alone has an ending or any possibility of a percentage at all

"Turns out, the sun is trans, so now it's the daughter"

just reminded of what the game selection for the ps mini was and oof, sony made some bad decisions there

apparently the source code has references to games that weren't included, titles like Crash Bandicoot and Suikoden and. Wow.

if @Nine gets in a fridge, do they spontaneously fission into a bunch of kids? because then they are chilled ren

@xenon Probably relevant, are you looking for free or paid hosting? If the latter I'd say "probably", if the former I'm not sure

I want to get a thing to hold and display our video game collection

the games other than gb/gbc/gba/ds/3ds games are all fine, they're all in their own little boxes and stuff

but the cartridge games, how do I put those on a shelf in a way that we can look at them and pick one out without having to dig through a pile of games

also "stovall" and "constable" and then a whole bunch of drinking flasks with various forms of the word "consolation" on them

Show thread

not pictured: two additional mugs that say "outpatient" and "caitlyn" on them

what the hell amazon, why are these results for "gba game organizer"

all of our ds games are just unorganized in a box and I feel like we should get some kind of organizer for them

not sure what would work well though

it bothers me a little bit that proverb and converb, while both words, are not antonyms or even at all related

today, pronouns are becoming an open class in english among certain groups of speakers

hopefully we'll have them an open class in general soon

then we can move on to conjunctions. those have been closed for far too long

(that last bit wasn't serious, by the way)

Show thread

we remember reading something about how closed classes (e.g. prepositions, conjunctions) are processed differently in the brain than open classes (e.g. nouns, verbs) which might be part of the problem with getting people to accept neopronouns--to those people, pronouns are also a closed class and the concept of adding a new word to the "pronoun" category is hard for them to parse, like if you were trying to add a new integer between 9 and 10
