people give fun facts a lot, but where are the boring facts?

here's one: More than five apples have been eaten in the history of the world

London, of course, has been part of reality ever since the treaty in 1783.

There's something humorous about the way you can see things like

"this is a work of fiction. the people, places, and events within are in no way intended to resemble reality."
*cut to a scene of what is very obviously intended to resemble London*

-, commission stuff

kinda want to poke this writer we commissioned a thing from last year and never heard back from but i don't. know what to do?

i've tried to poke them before and not gotten a response and i'm not sure they ever really check their fedi account, i think it's just a twitter crossposter

Professor Layton is supposed to be this super smart person but we just came across a thing in one of the games where you need to get food for a dog, and the grocery store owner mentions that all they have that would work is some leftover steak, but the grocer hopes the dog likes garlic (said grocer is kind of obsessed with garlic and puts it in everything he sells)

Layton's response is "that shouldn't be a problem"

...Layton, garlic is toxic to dogs. You should know that.

I wonder if there'll ever be engineered HRT using synthetic hormones that aren't estrogen or testosterone but something different that reacts differently, something that maybe binds to certain estrogen receptors but not others, and to certain testosterone receptors and not others

the elements, and their personalities:

Hydrogen: Very friendly, but quick to anger when provoked
Helium: Just wants to make your voice go funny
Lithium: therapist friend
Beryllium: will kill you without a second thought
Boron: Just kinda there, but fascinating when you get to know them
Carbon: Indispensible. Can't imagine life without them.
Nitrogen: Calm and steady, slow to anger, but extremely powerful if they have cause to use it
Oxygen: Cornerstone of the community, but still trying to get over some internalized toxicity
Fluorine: Extremely social. Can't stand being alone. Probably codependent.
Neon: Aloof to the extreme, but known for their beauty.

Aspire to be like Sappho of Lesbos: so gay that you get two entire words for the concept of being gay named after you

I really do want to try being two-headed again. It's been a long time.

quote that just came up in a game: "You've got a good head on your shoulders. But I guess you'd have to, to pull off that hat."
