the filler text on this board in tales of graces appears to actually be at least sort of english and not just complete nonsense

I can make out "please pick up some chicken" on the one in the bottom center, and the one obscured by the character's head seems to say "able reclamation plan", then the one to the right says "a life's work should be easier to work et ell till get a look anyway" (no i don't know wha that means), and there's something across the bottom right two that i can't make out

it's a good thing that pocatello changed their city flag, but it does mean we can't point to them as an example of everything you shouldn't do in vexillography anymore, at least not without specifying their old flag

it occurs to me that when we first got into the Tales series, playing Tales of Symphonia as a kid, it was right after we'd been playing Ocarina of Time, and since that was the only other game in which context we'd heard the term "dungeon", we were expecting something way more interesting when we got to that game's first dungeon

it was a pretty big disappointment, both how short it was and how uncomplex it was, and it's a good thing we didn't just put the game down there

i would have thought papa johns would be there but then we stopped ordering papa johns ever after the founder turned out to be a diehard racist 45 supporter so probably a lot of other people did that too, wouldn't be surprised if they're nowhere near as popular as they used to be

concept: a writing system that involves not just shape but also color

what would writing implements for such a system look like? The calligraphy may be done with colored inks and multiple pens, and old inscriptions with chiseled rock and paint, or perhaps woven into tapestries... but what would the equivalent of a ballpoint pen for that writing system be? something cheap and easy that allows you to easily and quickly switch between colors...

(also yes this would be bad if you're colorblind)
