why does the switch have its charging port on the bottom, where it gets in the way of using the built-in stand or even of holding it in your lap

In an rpg I'm playing, my character's name is ʔæþra, with a running joke that no one can ever pronounce it right. I've been spelling it 'athra when I don't want to try to type out the whole thing, and that's led me to think of ʔ as a capital version of ' (representing a glottal stop).
Why I told you all this, i have no idea!
